Convergence is a band comprised of me on sax, Brian Koning on trumpet, Alex Marcello on piano, Mike Johnson on drums, and bassist Jorge Roeder. We are arranging a convergence of musical styles to bring a unique voice to the Boston area scene of improvised music.

Triptych is an acoustic trio of bass, drums, and saxophones performing original arrangements of jazz standards and adventurous free improvisations, combining any and all elements. I'm on sax, Mike Johnson plays drums, and Jason Davis on bass.

The Mike Carey Quartet is a group assembled to feature Mike's compositions and arrangements. The group consists of guitar, bass, drums, and sax; however a pianist can be substituted for the guitarist upon request (preferably when an acoustic piano is available).
